My intention is the promotion "life only" legislation for all American animal shelters and humane societies. Currently, a dog or cat is killed every 1.5 seconds in these facilities.
I have been involved in animal rescue for 4 decades and the current system does not work.
My rescue, Paws To Love Me, has saved the lives of many dogs who were scheduled to be killed
in shelters across TX, OK and MO. We have also rescued dogs from puppy mills, hoarders, and paid
for neuter/spay surgeries for needy dogs and cats in Arkansas and Missouri.
Although this work is important, it has not resulted in any change in the way animal shelters operate. My goal is to change the system, which can only be done legislatively and through discussion.

The status of "NY Times Best Selling Author" will provide a platform to reach a greater audience and to lobby for "life only" animal shelter legislation.
